But there are so many great podcasts to choose from, how do you make the most of your time? Consider your end-of-year wish granted! We’ve compiled the “nice list” of our favorite podcast episodes to get you ready to tackle 2022 with a fresh perspective.
HBR IdeaCast, Episode 830, “One Way to Fight the Great Resignation? Re-recruit Your Current Employees” – The weekly podcast hosted by Alison Beard and Curt Nickisch, senior editors at the Harvard Business Review, focuses on timely topics and issues in human resources across industries. In this particular episode, Debbie Cohen and Kate Roeske-Zummer, co-founders of HumanityWorks, discuss the importance of current employees in combating attrition. With so many open positions, employers are increasingly focused on filling open roles versus paying attention to the employees already resident within their company. Cohen and Roeske-Zummer advise that organizations must “re-recruit” current employees to show they are valued and appreciated in order to retain them or else the companies will have even more seats to fill. Our research backs up the importance of recognition and gratitude. Listen to more episodes or subscribe to the podcast at hbr.org/2018/01/podcast-ideacast.
